I'm singing a different tune!

One of my new favorite quotes is from James E. Faust:
" Women today are being encouraged by some to have it all -- generally, all simultaneously; money, travel, marriage, motherhood, and separate careers in the world...Doing things sequentially -- filling roles one at a time at different times -- is not always possible, as we know, but it gives a woman the opportunity to do each thing well in its time and fill a variety of roles in her life...(A woman) may fit more than one career into the various seasons of life. She need not try to sing all the verses of her song at the same time."

It gives me hope to know I don't have to be it all, all at once. Also I must admit that I am happy to be moving into a new season of life. That's right...
I took the bassinet and sold it!
I truly cherish the blessing of having one more baby, but it's time to sing the second verse.
Now I am looking forward to science fairs, ski trips, Arrow of Light ceremonies, even teenage crushes. We have summer plans for hiking Table Rock, running the Wasatch Back, and going to Steve's 20th reunion. Sometimes it's great to grow up a little more!

I love that quote. I am hoping that in a year or so I will be following you onto that next verse! =)

You're going on to another verse while I'm still sitting through the prelude to my "life's song." :-)

I wish that I knew if I could move on with you. Everyone says, "You just know". Wish I knew!
