Spring Break! Part 2

For our second Spring Break expedition, we forgot to take pictures...sorry!
On Friday, we went up to Jackson, WY for a little fun. In the morning we awoke to grey skies which quickly started dumping snow. The grass had been showing but by the time we left at 10 a.m. there was 5 - 6" of snow on the ground. It made for some sketchy driving. Steve kept saying how much he loves our suburban.
Thankfully, the storm was centered over IF so by the time we were to Swan Valley the roads were mostly clear and it wasn't snowing. Even Teton Pass was fairly clear. Thank goodness for webcams!
Once in Jackson we made the usual tour of Steve's favorite shops -- Teton Mountaineering, Skinny Skis and Cloudveil. Then we headed off to the Teton County Rec Center. They have a fabulous pool. It includes a large kids pool with waterfalls and bubbles, a big and little waterslide and a large lap pool. New this time was a climbing wall that came out of the deep end. Abby, Caleb and Steve had a great time climbing to the top and then splashing down. I even tried it a couple times!
Hannah loved exploring through the kiddie pool. She wasn't too happy with me when I took her down the waterslide and we hit the bottom before coming up!
Grace discovered splashing. She would splash her hands in the water and then suck on her fingers until the taste was gone. Then splash again. Eew, I know.
The funniest was Seth. He is truly hardcore. The day after a full day of tough skiing, he attacked the waterslide with fervor. I think he climbed those stairs at least a hundred times, usually running. He'd roar down the slide then hop out and run right back up. Steve timed him and said he was making a run about every minute. When the lifeguard closed the slide for her 15 min break, Seth and Caleb were the first kids following her up as she came back.
The day ended with us eating HUGE burgers as Billy's Burger then the long ride home. All in all, we didn't do anyting exotic or expensive but we all had fun.

Just to set the record straight, the only people who tried anything on in my favorite stores were Jennie and Abby.

A good vacation ends with your kids crashing in bed each night. Sounds like this fits the bill.
